How Klaas connects to your social accounts
Klaas uses secure OAuth authentication to connect to your social accounts — so you never have to share your passwords.
What is OAuth?
OAuth is a secure authorization method offered by each social platform. When you connect an account, you're sent to that platform's official login page, where you grant Klaas permission to post on your behalf. Klaas never sees or stores your social passwords — authentication happens entirely through each platform's own systems.
How connecting works
When you connect an account from Connections:
- You click to connect the account in Klaas.
- You're redirected to the platform's official login page.
- You log in with your existing credentials on that platform.
- You grant Klaas permission to post on your behalf.
- You're sent back to Klaas with the connection in place.
Your security and control
You stay in full control of every connection:
- No password sharing. Klaas never receives your login credentials.
- Revoke access anytime. Disconnect an account in Klaas, or revoke access directly from the platform's own security settings.
- Per-platform control. Each platform lets you manage which apps can access your account.
Official APIs only
Klaas connects using the official OAuth APIs each platform provides. That keeps your connections secure and fully compliant with each platform's terms of service.
