TikTok business account requirements

To connect TikTok to Klaas, you need a TikTok Business Account. Here's why, and how to switch if you're on a personal account.

You need a Business Account

TikTok requires a Business Account to connect with Klaas. Personal TikTok accounts can't be connected, because only Business Accounts have the API permissions that let Klaas publish on your behalf.

Why this is required

This is TikTok's rule, not ours. TikTok's API limits third-party publishing to Business Accounts, which is what lets Klaas connect securely and post within TikTok's guidelines.

Switching to a Business Account

If you're on a personal account, you can convert to a Business Account for free in TikTok's settings. It won't affect your existing content or followers, and you can switch back at any time — though you'll need to keep it as a Business Account to keep publishing through Klaas.

Heads up: If you switch back to a personal account, you'll lose access to Business Account features such as the verification badge and business profile details (link in bio, contact email, address, and phone number), and to business analytics. You'll keep your past analytics, and you remain responsible for any violations on the Business Account.
