How to connect your Instagram accounts

This guide walks you through connecting your Instagram accounts to Klaas. There are two ways to connect: Instagram Login and Facebook Login. We recommend Instagram Login — it's simpler and doesn't require a Facebook page.

Before you start

Instagram sets these requirements for connecting to any app, including Klaas:

  • For Instagram Login: your account must be a business or creator account.
  • For Facebook Login: your account must be a business or creator account, and it must be connected to a Facebook page (one page per account).

Option 1: Connect with Instagram Login (recommended)

  1. Go to Connections and start the Instagram Connect flow.
  2. Choose Connect via Instagram.
  3. On the permissions screen, leave all options enabled and select Allow. If you aren't signed in, Instagram will ask you to log in first and then show the approval screen — select Allow there too.
  4. That's it. Your account now appears on your Connections page.

Connecting several accounts with Instagram Login

Connect each account one at a time:

  • Sign out of the current account on Instagram in your browser, then connect the next account in Klaas; or
  • Start the Connect flow and choose Switch account (top right) when Instagram asks for permissions.

Option 2: Connect with Facebook Login

Use this only if you prefer the Facebook route. First make sure your Instagram account is a business or creator account and is connected to a Facebook page.

  1. Start the Instagram Connect flow from Connections.
  2. Select the Facebook Connect option.
  3. On the first connection screen, choose Edit previous settings if you see it.
  4. If you previously allowed access to all current and future businesses, select the specific accounts you want to connect instead. Choose the accounts directly.
  5. Select Continue, continue again, then confirm the connection.
  6. You'll be returned to Klaas to choose your Instagram accounts.
  7. Confirm the accounts you want to connect once more, then select Connect. Your accounts now appear on the Connections page.

Troubleshooting

My account isn't showing up. Confirm it's a business or creator account — personal accounts won't appear after connecting. If you changed the account type or connected a page recently, give it a few minutes to take effect, then try again.

I can't reach the account-selection screen (Facebook Login). Re-run the Facebook Login steps above and, on the first screen, choose Edit previous settings so you can select your accounts directly instead of relying on a blanket "all businesses" permission.

Setting up a Facebook page (Facebook Login only)

You only need a Facebook page if you're connecting through Facebook Login — Instagram Login doesn't require one. If your Instagram isn't linked to a Facebook page:

  1. Create a Facebook page on your Facebook account.
  2. Make sure your Instagram is a business or creator account.
  3. Link them using the Connect to page option, or connect a page directly in your Instagram app settings.
  4. For step-by-step help, see Instagram's official guide.

Facebook Login relies on Facebook's API, which is why the Instagram-to-page link is required for that method. Instagram Login is the simpler path and needs no Facebook page.
