Posting videos to Bluesky

Bluesky doesn't support video through Klaas. Bluesky posts published from Klaas can carry text and images — not video files — so if you add a video, Bluesky won't be one of the destinations it goes to.

What Bluesky posts support in Klaas

  • Text — up to 300 characters.
  • Images — up to 4 per post, in JPEG or PNG, up to 1 MB each.
  • Video — not supported.

Share a video with your Bluesky audience anyway

  1. Publish the video to a platform that hosts it — YouTube, for example.
  2. Copy the link to the published video.
  3. Write a Bluesky post in the composer at Create, paste the link, and add an image if you'd like a preview.

That gets the video in front of your Bluesky followers without hitting the platform's video limits. When you're publishing to several platforms at once, remember each one has its own media rules — a clip that's fine elsewhere still won't attach to a Bluesky post.
